Complementary to the EC Pinheiros magazine with exclusive content, Esporte Clube Pinheiros needed to develop an easy and simple booklet with the monthly schedule, listing all the cultural and social events of the club. Printed in black and a special color, which varies from month to month, summarily typographic content seeks to bring information in an organized and objective manner.

  1. FF Real Head & Text:

A beautifully constructed font. Nice that it has finally arrived in the world. First intended for the book “Hello, I am Erik” with only one cut, Spiekermann finally decided to make an extended family out of it.

I remember well that I received this style in a competition via the FontShop. At that time, I criticized Erik and he answered that one first had to create a book with just one style. And he said that there are not many people that can do.

Good that he decided to make these two families. I particularly like the Italics. Unfortunately he only made Oblique cuts for the Condensed versions.

When I criticized that too, he justified it with the fact that the beautiful, wonderful italics were not well received by customers and oblique versions were requested, so he added these to the normal weights but no longer constructed italics for the condensed weights.

Something like this can happen when people pay more attention to the spirit of the time (Zeitgeist) than to the special.
